Appointment of Chief Executive
The Governing Council is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Simon Hill to the Post of Chief Executive of the Valuation Tribunal Service for Wales.
Mr Simon Hill, is currently the Clerk to the East Wales Valuation Tribunal, and will formally take up his duties from 5th May 2009. He will retain his status as the Statutory Clerk of East Wales for at least two years, and will be supported by an additional Professional Tribunal Officer during that period.
He succeeds Mr Chris Owen who is stepping down from his dual role and who will continue as Clerk to the North Wales Valuation Tribunal and a Member of the Governing Council’s Management Team headed by the Chief Executive.
We are particularly grateful to Mr Owen for stepping into the role of Acting Chief Executive at short notice during the “Inter regnum” and envisage a seamless transfer of responsibilities between these two members of the existing Management Team.
